Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for Preply’s ML platform to support growing GenAI adoption
• Lead the architecture of platform capabilities across the full ML lifecycle, including experimentation, training, and deployment
• Design cloud-native infrastructure for distributed training and inference, focusing on GPU environments and cost optimization
• Set technical direction for CI/CD for ML, embedding testing, security, and performance checks
• Establish observability standards for ML systems, including drift detection and data quality
• Lead the evolution of GenAI and LLM platform capabilities, such as LLM Gateway services and vector retrieval infrastructure
• Partner with Applied Science, Data, and Product leadership to align platform investments with business impact
• Design self-service tooling and abstractions to help ML Scientists move faster
• Mentor senior engineers and act as a technical multiplier across the organization

Requirements

• 9+ years of engineering experience in large-scale ML, data, or platform systems
• Proven ability to architect and scale production-grade ML platforms
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and end-to-end ML workflows
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience building enabling tools for Data Scientists and Applied Scientists
• Strong technical judgment regarding reliability, scalability, and cost
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence skills
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks and GenAI infrastructure (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector stores)
