Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of cutting edge Deep Learning and machine learning models to enhance human-led triaging and introduce automation
• Design and build Gen AI LLM/VLM solutions for self driving car behavior analysis and anomaly detection
• Develop a Reinforcement Learning from human preference-based data collection and evaluation system
• Enhance User Feedback Analysis and implement tools for multi-label classifications, sentiment assessment, and root cause analysis
• Oversee the production and optimization of machine learning models for an expansive fleet of vehicles
• Drive technical direction and provide guidance to the team
• Collaborate with PMs, TPMs, and cross-functional teams like Prediction and Planning to align technical agendas with business objectives

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of experience with hands-on experience in machine learning projects
• Strong coding experience in C++ and/or Python
• Experience in at least one of: Foundational Models, VLM, or Deep Learning
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face transformers
• Expertise in deep learning models and ML deployment at scale

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• 10+ years of experience in machine learning projects
• Deep learning experience with Transformers
• Gen AI LLM/VLM experience
• Experience building tools for applied machine learning, including MLOps and evaluation/validation techniques
• Large-scale data processing and analytical skills
