Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and stakeholders to define requirements for the AI operations platform
• Translate requirements into technical approaches, designs, and execution plans
• Lead execution teams to achieve project deliverables and customer business value
• Design, orchestrate, and automate complex data pipelines and algorithms
• Guide the development of machine learning models for image, video, text, and geospatial data
• Conduct mission-critical fieldwork and interface with customers at their work sites

Requirements

• Advanced degree in data science, machine learning, or computer science
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Excellence in Python and knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Proficiency in systems programming (Go, Rust, C++, Java, or Scala)
• Experience delivering complex technical solutions in production environments
• Ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams
• US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret US security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and horizontally scaled architectures
• Knowledge of messaging systems like NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
• Experience building AI agents and workflows
• Experience with multi-spectral imagery, video, or sonar signals
• Experience delivering technology in secure government environments
• Active Secret US security clearance
