Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
• Oversee the preprocessing and analysis of large datasets to drive business insights.
• Deploy and maintain scalable ML solutions and pipelines in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional data science, software engineering, and product teams to integrate AI/ML models into services.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models, implementing necessary adjustments and guardrails.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineering teams, driving architectural decisions across the AI stack.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant machine learning experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and tools for data processing and model deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep expertise in foundation model development using transformer architectures and LLM fine-tuning (SFT, RLHF, LoRA, QLoRA).
• Experience designing LLM guardrails, including safety filters and toxicity detection.
• Experience building large-scale recommender systems or using RL-based recommenders like Multi-armed bandits.
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI, including multi-agent orchestration and autonomous reasoning pipelines.
• Knowledge of the Credit, Payments, or financial services domain.
• Strong AI measurement skills, including designing evaluation frameworks and A/B testing rigor.
