Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and train onboard machine learning models with a focus on performance and latency
• Implement quantization, pruning, ONNX/TensorRT conversion, and custom GPU kernels
• Achieve parity between onboard and offboard models using HIL validation
• Collaborate with perception, planning, and simulation teams to integrate models into production
• Analyze real-world driving logs to identify edge cases and improve model robustness
• Use profiling tools to identify and remove training bottlenecks
• Contribute to scalable AI infrastructure for continuous learning and deployment

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or related field
• 6+ years of experience deploying ML or deep learning systems in production
• Proficiency in Python and C++
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience with large-scale distributed training systems
• Strong understanding of optimization and machine learning fundamentals
• Strong software engineering skills including testing, debugging, and system design
