Staff IT Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise cloud platform strategy across OCI, AWS, and hybrid environments
• Architect enterprise cloud networking solutions including VCN/VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and secure communication patterns
• Drive secure-by-default architecture including IAM, RBAC, encryption, and zero-trust design principles
• Own and mature Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using Terraform, including reusable module development and CI/CD integration
• Establish CI/CD and GitOps operating models using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or OCI DevOps
• Support cloud-native platforms and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes (EKS, OKE)
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support workload migration, modernization, and disaster recovery planning
• Drive observability, monitoring, reliability engineering, and FinOps practices to optimize cost and performance
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and engineering best practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or enterprise architecture experience
• Strong hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise cloud environments in AWS or OCI
• Advanced Terraform expertise, including module strategy and multi-environment IaC governance
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipeline construction and GitOps workflows
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
• Strong understanding of cloud networking (DNS, load balancing, routing, and hybrid connectivity)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multicloud environments spanning AWS, OCI, GCP, and Azure
• Professional certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or OCI Architect Professional
• Experience with Oracle database platforms, Autonomous Database, or Exadata Cloud Service
• Familiarity with AI/ML and large-scale data platform workloads in cloud environments
• Experience implementing enterprise-scale FinOps programs and governance frameworks
