Staff IT Auditor

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting assurance reviews and audits to evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls supporting business processes and information systems.
• Execute the audit process, including planning, client coordination, fieldwork, data analysis, and work paper documentation.
• Test IT General Controls (ITGC) across mainframe, cloud, and distributed environments.
• Assess information technology design and operating effectiveness related to logical access, change management, and operations.
• Document detailed work papers in a consistent, high-quality manner while adhering to established timelines.
• Evaluate root cause factors and assist in developing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Coordinate audit activities with management, co-source providers, and external auditors.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant audit and risk management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Management, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of auditing principles, IPPF Standards, and IIA best practices.
• Experience with common internal control frameworks such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and SSAE 18 (SOC 1 and SOC 2).
• Ability to travel 10-15%, including potential international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CCAK, or CPA.
• Big Four audit experience.
• Experience with multiple internal control frameworks including NIST, COBIT, PCI-DSS, or ISO27001.
• Familiarity with cloud auditing and frameworks like the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework.
• Knowledge of AuditBoard or similar audit software.
• Experience in the Payment Processing or Financial Services industry.
