Staff Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, Deployment

Responsibilities

• Lead field deployment, integration, and startup of BMS/EPMS automation solutions
• Enforce system standards and deployment patterns for controls and EPMS rollouts
• Deploy and configure SCADA dashboards, HMIs, and operator workstations
• Oversee system integrators during point-to-point checkouts and startup governance
• Configure and troubleshoot networks using BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Mentor and train other controls engineers on troubleshooting and execution methodology

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Computer Engineering
• Extensive experience in physical deployment and startup of PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS platforms
• Proven ability to execute automation systems in data center or high-availability environments
• Deep proficiency in BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols
• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and PLC/DDC logic
• Ability to lead deployment timelines in fast-paced construction environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or technical field
• Professional certifications in Ignition or Rockwell platforms
• Experience with industrial cybersecurity best practices
