Staff Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, Deployment

Responsibilities

• Lead field deployment, integration, and startup of automation solutions for BMS/EPMS systems
• Enforce system standards and deployment patterns for controls and EPMS rollouts
• Deploy and configure dashboards, HMIs, and operator workstations
• Oversee system integrators during standard deployments and point-to-point checkouts
• Configure and troubleshoot networks utilizing BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols
• Conduct system testing, simulation, FAT, and SAT to validate functionality
• Mentor and train other controls engineers on system operation and troubleshooting

Requirements

• Extensive experience in physical deployment and startup of PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS platforms
• Proven ability to execute automation systems in data center or high-availability environments
• Deep hands-on familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols
• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and PLC/DDC logic
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or technical field
• Professional certifications in Ignition or Rockwell platforms
• Experience with industrial cybersecurity best practices
