About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts on front-end projects, ranging from white-space discovery to solving specific user problems.
- Conduct field research using ethnographic methods to discover the "why" behind problems and identify opportunity areas.
- Translate research and design insights into visual models, frameworks, and design principles.
- Facilitate concept workshops using various brainstorming methodologies to generate creative product solutions.
- Envision new ideas across digital and physical tools, as well as business strategies.
- Create concept communication tools including storyboards, user experience journeys, and system maps.
- Develop prototype stimulus to gather feedback on design concepts from diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary units such as machine learning, advanced development, technology, and marketing.
- Teach and coach others on human-centered design methods.
Requirements
- BS or BFA in Industrial Design, Visual, Experience, or Service Design.
- 2+ years of consultancy or corporate experience working in Design or Innovation teams.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design tools to create concepts.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of rapid prototyping and model making to bring ideas to life.
- Familiarity with generative AI visualization software.
- Strong understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD) and strategic problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Design Thinking methods, processes, and execution.
- Experience in behavioral research practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from recent graduates to senior leaders.
