Staff Harness Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design System Level harnesses from power distribution to high-speed communications
• Own the harness design lifecycle and implement harness design best practices
• Collaborate across mechanical, RF, electrical, and systems teams for seamless integration
• Act as technical point of contact for Wire, Cable, Connector, and Harness suppliers
• Support resolving non-conformances from harness suppliers
• Provide critical input to schedule planning, hardware requirements, and process improvements
• Define test plans and verification strategies that meet flight readiness requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex harnesses
• Experience with full product lifecycle management
• Knowledge of PCBAs and informing board level design decisions
• Understanding of RF cabling, components, and testing
• Strong knowledge of industry harnessing standards (NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC/WHMA-A-620)
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD applications
• Experience with Zuken or other harness design applications
• Understanding of Electro Magnetic Effects (EME), including EMC and EMI
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to ITAR regulations
