Staff Hardware Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the full hardware development and sustaining lifecycle, including feasibility, bring-up, validation, and deployment
• Develop and maintain scripting and automation frameworks for hardware testing and diagnostics
• Lead deep troubleshooting and debugging for PCIe, InfiniBand, and NVMe/storage
• Conduct rigorous system validation and characterization for GPU, CPU, and high-performance compute platforms
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, firmware, and software teams to resolve system-level issues
• Drive prototyping and qualification for high-volume manufacturing with internal teams and external vendors

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in hardware development, validation, or sustaining engineering
• Strong hands-on expertise in PCIe, InfiniBand, and NVMe/storage debugging
• Proficiency in hardware bring-up and board-level debugging
• Ability to design automation frameworks using Python, Shell, or similar
• Technical background in digital/analog design and server architecture
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience optimizing GPU-to-GPU communication architectures for AI/ML workloads
• Direct experience integrating NVLink or next-generation GPU interconnects
• Expertise in both ARM and x86 server architectures
• Background in sustainable or energy-efficient hardware design
