About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of significant GenAI features, from requirement clarification and design to implementation and production iteration.
- Build and maintain reliable services, APIs, and workflows that support GenAI capabilities at scale.
- Define and automate quality metrics, including success metrics, test strategies, and evaluation approaches for AI models.
- Improve operational readiness through deployment automation, monitoring, alerting, and cost optimization.
- Mentor and guide other engineers through design feedback, code reviews, and technical leadership.
- Build safe and compliant systems with a strong focus on privacy, data handling, and responsible AI practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping production systems within product teams.
- 5+ years of experience writing production-quality code.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, distributed systems, and scalable architecture.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript for building APIs, services, and data pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability.
- An experimentation mindset with the ability to define metrics and build evaluation frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on GenAI/LLM experience including prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, or fine-tuning.
- Familiarity with LLMOps practices such as experiment tracking and cost/latency optimization.
- Experience with tools like LangChain/LangGraph, OpenAI, Anthropic, or vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Milvus).
- Contributions to open source projects, technical blogs, or industry conference talks.
