Staff Fullstack Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority across the stack (UI, BFF, GraphQL APIs, and backend data systems)
• Drive architectural decisions and author foundational design docs
• Trace and resolve complex, systemic issues across service boundaries
• Own the health, evolution, and long-term hygiene of the GraphQL federation graph
• Define SLOs, end-to-end tracing, and comprehensive dashboards for reliability
• Mentor and coach engineers across frontend and backend disciplines
• Optimize CI/CD performance, type-safety, and developer ergonomics

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional development experience
• Mastery of TypeScript across client and server
• Proven experience leading architectures in React and Next.js (App Router)
• Deep expertise in Node.js (NestJS preferred) and GraphQL ecosystems
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred) and query builders/ORMs
• Understanding of modern authentication/authorization (OAuth/OIDC, JWT, ABAC/ReBAC)
• Practical knowledge of Docker and container orchestration
• Ability to navigate and refactor complex legacy software

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of IoT/device protocols such as MQTT
• Experience with policy engines (Cedar, OPA)
• Proficiency with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Coralogix)
• Experience with Monorepos (Turbo, Bun)
