Staff Field Application Engineer Automotive

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Sales to develop and execute strategic plans and track progress toward key objectives
• Visit customers regularly to identify new business opportunities and discuss ongoing projects or future needs
• Act as the central point of contact between customers and factory teams to resolve critical technical issues
• Provide memory architecture advice, product recommendations, and technical training to customers
• Collaborate with marketing and development teams to evaluate product feasibility and ensure customer specifications are met
• Coordinate lab activities including schematic/board layout reviews, design validation, and system-level testing
• Travel as needed (up to 25%) to support customer requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study
• Proven experience in electronic board and system design, testing, system validation, and application engineering
• Knowledge of Volatile, Non-Volatile, and Mass Storage Memories (NOR, NAND, DRAM, eMMC) within Automotive or Embedded systems
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including lab testing and debugging
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working as an applications engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer
