About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the design and maintenance of infrastructure across manufacturing facilities, corporate offices, and Crayola Experience locations.
  • Use CMMS to monitor infrastructure assets and ensure proper allocation of maintenance resources.
  • Identify root causes of chronic or critical asset failures and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage small and large capital projects, including cost estimates, RFQs, budgeting, scheduling, and commissioning.
  • Manage maintenance service contracts and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to Facilities Technicians regarding HVAC, steam, electrical, and life safety systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of related plant and facilities experience.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent 2D drafting software.
  • Knowledge of BOCA, IBC, NFPA, OSHA, and FM Global codes and regulations.
  • Experience with manufacturing utility systems such as boilers, chillers, compressed air, and wastewater treatment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with structured problem-solving methods like Six Sigma DMAIC or Lean A3.
  • Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems up to 600V.
