Staff Estimator

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics for technical accuracy
• Interface with customers and consultants to clarify project requirements
• Generate detailed formal written Scope of Work documents
• Compile Bill of Materials (BOM) and secure vendor pricing
• Calculate estimated labor hours for fabrication, assembly, and wiring
• Generate formal customer quotations and collaborate with Sales on pricing strategy
• Maintain RFQ documentation and optimize estimating processes
• Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify scope and specifications

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical enclosures, switchboards, and switchgear production
• 5-8 years of experience in estimating, costing, and sales preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google products
• Experience with ERP software (Infor Visual or Acumatica preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of modular electrical buildings (e-houses / PDCs)
• Experience with Acumatica ERP
• Familiarity with interpreting ISO requirements for job documentation
