About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and sustain the Environmental Management Program for Crayola facilities, focusing on the Lehigh Valley area.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and manage permitting for Air Quality, Stormwater, Wastewater, and SPCC/PPC programs.
  • Monitor, inspect, and report on environmental performance metrics for air emissions, wastewater, and stormwater.
  • Provide engineering design and technical support for pollution control systems and process integrations.
  • Lead environmental projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with regulatory agency officials and inspectors.
  • Manage commercial operating licenses for boilers, x-ray devices, elevators, and groundwater wells.
  • Serve as on-call support for environmental emergencies, such as spills or wastewater treatment upsets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with environmental compliance programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of PA DEP and EPA regulations regarding Air Quality, Stormwater, and Wastewater.
  • Proven experience with SPCC and PPC management programs.
  • Familiarity with RCRA, EPCRA (Tier II, TRI), and Greenhouse Gas Reporting.
  • Ability to interpret laboratory reports for environmental samples using basic chemistry and biology knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with regulatory personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training.
  • 8-Hour Supervisor Training.
