About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the Workday tenant configuration strategy across production, sandbox, and implementation tenants
- Serve as the primary Workday subject matter authority and decision-maker on configuration standards and system governance
- Manage end-to-end functional administration across modules including Talent, Learning, Payroll, and Absence
- Design and maintain Workday security role assignments, domain security policies, and business process security
- Manage and support integrations with downstream systems like ADP Workforce Now and identity providers
- Build and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support HR and Finance
- Act as the technical lead for the active Workday HCM implementation, coordinating with implementation partners
- Develop and maintain a Workday platform product roadmap and scalable workflows
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting HRIS/People Technology programs
- Significant depth in Workday across multiple functional domains
- Experience as a Workday tenant owner or primary system administrator
- Strong command of Workday security, including domain policies and role-based access control
- Hands-on experience building advanced, matrix, and composite Workday reports
- Experience managing Workday EIBs and integration monitoring
- Experience supporting or leading at least 3 full Workday implementation lifecycles
- Ability to operate as a solo system authority with high self-direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro certification in functional areas such as HCM, Talent, or Payroll
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Rippling, ADP Workforce Now, or Coupa
- Experience with HRIS data governance in a SOC 2 regulated environment
- Exposure to Workato, MuleSoft, or other iPaaS platforms
- Experience scaling People Technology at high-growth companies (500–2,000+ employees)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, HR, or Business
