Staff Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve architecture across customer-facing experiences
• Lead delivery of complex, high-impact features end-to-end
• Partner with Product, Design, Engineering Leadership and Data to turn customer problems into outcomes
• Champion an experimentation-first approach including A/B testing
• Line manage a cross-functional squad of 4–6 people
• Drive engineering excellence in performance, reliability, code quality, and observability
• Manage technical risk and dependencies
• Lead a team with an iOS focus in addition to back-end and web work

Requirements

• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Previous experience at Staff or Principal level
• Strong background in front-end engineering and mobile app experiences (especially iOS)
• Experience in product-led, cross-functional teams focused on rapid iteration
• Experience designing and evolving scalable front-end architectures
• Track record of delivering high-impact features across core user journeys
• Proven people leadership and line management experience
• Experience leading across multiple teams or squads
• Strong understanding of experimentation and A/B testing
• Ability to communicate technical complexities to senior and exec-level stakeholders
