Staff Engineer, SSD System Design

Responsibilities

• Take solid state drives from design to high volume manufacturing
• Drive and solve system-level issues on SSDs through root cause analysis
• Perform product failure analysis and provide technical support to internal and external customers
• Support new product development, including product characterization and margin analysis
• Verify architecture specifications and generate Master Test Plans for each product
• Improve performance, testability, and identify NAND/DRAM reliability issues
• Collaborate with worldwide suppliers and cross-functional product development teams

Requirements

• 8-12 years of relevant engineering experience
• In-depth knowledge of interface standards such as SATA, SAS, or PCIe
• Strong understanding of NAND memory operation
• Hands-on experience with logic analyzers, bus analyzers, and digital oscilloscopes
• Proficiency in programming with C and Python
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
