Staff Engineer, SDET

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing
• Drive shift-left testing by integrating automated tests early in the SDLC
• Optimize existing automation frameworks for execution speed and reliability
• Provide technical mentorship to SDET-1 and SDET-2 team members
• Review and enhance CI/CD pipelines to include automated testing and quality gates
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product managers to define test strategies
• Develop robust test scripts in Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Implement API automation using tools like RestAssured or Postman
• Lead performance testing efforts using JMeter, Gatling, or Locust
• Define and enforce TDD and BDD methodologies

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in software development, testing, and automation
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with Selenium, Appium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or Playwright
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience testing microservices and RESTful APIs
• Understanding of AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Exposure to performance and security testing methodologies
