Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve production systems on AWS with a focus on reliability and cost efficiency
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives that materially impact the business
• Set technical vision and strategy to influence roadmaps and organizational engineering practices
• Ship clean, secure, and considered code using AI-native workflows
• Mentor other engineers and drive technical excellence across the team
• Navigate organizational complexity to drive alignment on high-stakes technical decisions

Requirements

• Deep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python
• Extensive experience architecting production systems on AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Proven ability to work across the entire stack (Frontend, Backend, Infrastructure)
• Track record of leading technical initiatives and setting organizational strategy
• Proficiency using AI development tools like Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate shipping
• Strong mentorship and leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing long-term scalable systems
• Experience building frontend platforms and design systems
• Deep product sense and ability to connect engineering to business outcomes
• Security engineering experience
• Fintech experience navigating regulatory and compliance constraints
• Early-stage startup leadership experience
