Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery for major Storefront initiatives including discovery, browse, PDP, cart, and checkout
• Partner with product, design, and data science to shape roadmap priorities and translate business goals into engineering plans
• Drive technical standards for performance, observability, testing, and maintainability across the Storefront codebase
• Identify and resolve systemic engineering gaps such as performance bottlenecks and reliability risks
• Mentor senior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and direct coaching
• Define and drive adoption of best practices for frontend architecture, API design, and experimentation frameworks
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure a reliable Storefront stack

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-stack web development experience
• Deep expertise in building high-traffic, customer-facing commerce or consumer web surfaces
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Experience with server-side rendering frameworks like Next.js
• Proven ability to build and maintain highly reliable distributed web applications at scale
• Demonstrated ability to drive large technical initiatives from scoping to impact
• Experience with A/B testing frameworks and data-driven experimentation
• Strong computer science fundamentals and knowledge of distributed system architecture
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
