Staff Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineering

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve, and develop QA/QC programs in alignment with Company Quality Policy and control plans.
• Develop and implement quality control systems, policies, procedures, and specifications for incoming materials, factory assembly, testing, and shipping.
• Lead quality incident investigations using 8D methodology, tracking root causes, and coordinating corrective actions.
• Perform internal audits of operational processes using statistical techniques to provide accurate product analysis.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to develop and implement process controls and improvements.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance and implement preventive actions to reduce quality issues.
• Manage new product capability setup, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Develop strategies to increase process quality performance through statistical methods and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in quality engineering within manufacturing environments.
• Technical expertise in FOP, SMT, Flip Chip, Underfill, Die Attach, Wire Bond, or Molding processes.
• Deep knowledge of Root Cause Analysis methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FTA).
• Strong proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Quality Management Systems.
• Proven ability to handle inquiries and complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and third-party auditors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Industry-specific certifications such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 auditor credentials.
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant technical field.
