Staff Engineer - Product Validation

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration strategy for functional, stress, and interoperability validation across diverse platforms and operating systems
• Develop scalable automation for system-level workflows, including NVMe functional tests, reset/boot flows, PCIe behaviors, and telemetry collection
• Drive system-level triage by identifying failure domains and accelerating root-cause isolation
• Collaborate across FW, HW, Validation, Tools, and Architecture teams
• Enhance productivity by improving test coverage efficiency and reducing execution cycle time
• Introduce new methodologies for system interop, workload generation, and validation quality gating
• Mentor engineers and uplift technical practices

Requirements

• BS/MS in EE/CE/CS or related field
• 10+ years in SSD validation, platform integration, or storage system engineering
• Deep expertise in NVMe command/admin flows, queues, and error-recovery
• Expertise in PCIe link behavior, LTSSM, training, and ASPM
• Proficiency in Linux (blk-mq, IO scheduler) and Windows storage paths
• Experience with server-class BIOS/UEFI, ACPI, and power/thermal states
• Hands-on experience with fio and multi-threaded stress patterns
• Automation proficiency with Python, Bash, or PowerShell

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior ownership of system-level integration for enterprise/cloud SSDs
• Knowledge of FTDC frameworks and telemetry analysis
• Familiarity with validation KPIs such as DPPM and escape metrics
• Experience debugging across firmware, PCIe electrical, drivers, and OS internals
