Staff Engineer, Product Applications

Responsibilities

• Lead design-in success for high-speed ATE products, managing customer relationships from concept through production.
• Support ATE customers across the APAC region, specifically focusing on China and Taiwan, including on-site support during critical development phases.
• Serve as the primary regional technical expert and point of contact for the Field Application Engineer (FAE) team.
• Master application-level software and collaborate with software teams to assist customers with integration.
• Collect customer feedback to collaborate with internal Design teams on novel solutions and system-level signal chain improvements.
• Create technical collateral, including demo systems, user guides, application notes, and reference designs.
• Develop and deliver on-site training for customers, sales engineers, and distributors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with ATE products such as pin drivers, comparators, PPMU, and DPS.
• Knowledge of SerDes and high-speed signal integrity.
• Experience working with FPGAs and familiarity with FPGA design environments.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Ability to travel on-site (approximately 25–30%) to support customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Power Delivery Networks (PDN) for ATE systems.
• Understanding of jitter budgets, clock and data recovery schemes, and channel equalization.
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, C#, or Matlab.
