Staff Engineer Physical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop best-in-class physical design methodologies for corporate-wide digital flows
• Work with the global CAD methodology development team to automate and integrate CAD flows for centralized deployment
• Provide technical expertise and consultation on place and route and rail analysis EDA flows to various Business Units
• Ensure successful tapeouts of products by supporting design development groups

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Micro-Electronics engineering
• 8+ years of experience in physical design
• Expertise in Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor Graphics EDA tool suites
• Proven track record of successful multi-million gate SOC design tapeouts
• Proficiency in automation scripting using TCL, Python, PERL, or Tk
• Experience in RTL to GDS II digital implementation flows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in low power design and implementation methodologies
• Experience working with sub 10nm technologies
• Strong debugging skills to resolve vendor tool problems and assist designers
