Staff Engineer, PCIE ASIC Validation

Responsibilities

• Own PCIe/LPDDR validation across Architecture, Pre-Silicon, Board Design, and Post-Silicon activities
• Interact with Architecture, Design, and Firmware teams to plan and perform validation based on implementation
• Review SoC Verification plans and create/update PCIe/LPDDR validation plans with SoC C, AE, and FW teams
• Perform processor-based SoC verification and emulation using C/FW/AE flows
• Run SoC C-based simulations for test case understanding and debugging using VCS
• Support silicon bring-up and firmware bring-up activities
• Collaborate with overseas teams for PCIe/LPDDR bring-up and debugging

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 14+ years of experience with processor-centric SoC builds and hands-on PCIe validation using C/FW tests
• Detailed knowledge of PCIe/LPDDR standards (PCIe Gen5/Gen6 or LPDDR5 preferred)
• Experience with high-speed serial protocols and SerDes PHY behavior
• Hands-on experience with Logic Analyzers, PCIe Switches, Protocol Analyzers, and Exerciser setups (e.g., Viavi, Lecroy)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry-standard interfaces such as ONFI or AXI
• Experience with debug and bring-up of SNPS PCIe Controller and PHY
