About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as an on-site customer enablement engineer supporting joint system evaluation, silicon bring-up, and early platform integration for LPDDR products.
  • Provide direct, hands-on technical support through face-to-face discussions, lab debug, and rapid issue resolution.
  • Drive early identification and mitigation of system-level risks related to signal integrity, power, timing margins, performance, and reliability.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between Micron and the customer for LPDDR engineering topics.
  • Communicate Micron LPDDR architecture, design intent, and silicon behavior to customer system and silicon teams.
  • Translate customer system observations and requirements into actionable engineering inputs for internal Micron teams.
  • Prepare technical summaries, debug reports, and customer-facing documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in DRAM or memory product engineering, design, or system-level support roles.
  • Deep technical understanding of DRAM architecture, LPDDR products, and memory subsystem behavior.
  • Proven experience providing direct customer support, including on-site or resident engineering roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in system-level debug and failure analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customer engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior on-site customer assignment experience in San Jose or equivalent locations.
  • Experience supporting leading mobile, SoC, or system customers.
  • Ability to bridge design, product engineering, system, and quality perspectives.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and experience mentoring other engineers.
  • Experience working with global, cross-regional engineering teams.
  • Japanese language skills to communicate LPDDR engineering with Micron Japan.
