Staff Engineer, Mixed Signal Design Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural definition and design of complex mixed-signal ICs from concept through production release
• Drive technical decisions for mixed-signal block integration, considering system-level tradeoffs and performance requirements
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and influence design approaches across teams
• Make critical architectural tradeoffs based on parameters such as current vs. voltage mode, performance targets, and power requirements
• Develop comprehensive verification strategies for mixed-signal systems and lead advanced laboratory testing
• Contribute to the development of new theories and methods in mixed-signal design and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies

Requirements

• MSEE with 7-10 years of relevant mixed-signal design experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of experience
• Expertise in the design and implementation of ADCs, DACs, and PLLs
• Mastery of industry-standard EDA tools including SPICE, MATLAB, and Cadence Design Suite
• Experience with mixed-signal IC architectural definition and system-level integration
• Proven track record of taking products from concept through production release

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience optimizing circuits across multiple parameters including noise, timing, and power consumption
• Ability to guide physical design teams on implementation strategies to meet performance requirements
