Staff Engineer (IBM APP Connect)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
• Develop and maintain message flows, web services, APIs, and data transformation solutions.
• Build scalable integration solutions using ESQL, XSLT, Java, and enterprise middleware.
• Manage the complete API lifecycle using IBM API Connect v10, including design, versioning, and deployment.
• Configure and manage API Gateway policies for security, rate limiting, and traffic management.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot IBM MQ-based messaging solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate integration and API deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and reliable integration with backend systems.

Requirements

• 5.5+ years of experience in enterprise integration.
• Strong expertise in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM Integration Bus.
• Hands-on coding proficiency in ESQL, XSLT, and Java.
• Experience with IBM API Connect v10 (API development, Gateway configuration, and Developer Portal).
• Solid experience with IBM MQ and messaging integration patterns.
• Deep understanding of REST, XML, JSON, WSDL, SOAP, and JMS.
• Knowledge of API security mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and command-line operations.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with IBM DataPower and API Gateway technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
