Staff Engineer, Camera

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and design decisions for complex multimedia systems as a technical lead
• Lead and mentor engineering teams of 10+ engineers, including task planning and design reviews
• Provide end-to-end ownership of features from pre-silicon enablement and bring-up to commercialization
• Contribute to the upstream Linux kernel, specifically within camera and multimedia subsystems
• Actively participate in open-source community discussions
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements, debug critical issues, and drive solutions
• Support multimedia architectures including V4L2, Media Controller, and libcamera

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of experience (or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years)
• Strong hands-on experience in Linux kernel driver development and kernel internals
• Proven track record of upstream Linux kernel contributions
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
• Experience with open-source multimedia architectures (V4L2, Media Controller, libcamera)
• Experience in the IoT segment is a plus
