Staff Engineer, Business Analyst (Core banking-DMS)

Responsibilities

• Gather and define functional requirements for downstream systems including accounting, GL/sub-ledger interfaces, and regulatory reporting feeds.
• Identify requirement gaps and drive closure with business owners in Finance, Accounting, and Operations.
• Define end-to-end flows for key deposit events such as account opening, interest accrual, fees, and closures.
• Produce and maintain functional specifications, data mapping requirements, and interface-related artifacts.
• Support SIT/UAT execution, defect triage, and retest coordination to ensure traceability from requirements to tests.
• Define and validate reconciliation controls, including control totals and GL tie-outs.
• Coordinate cutover and post-go-live stabilization activities for downstream flows.
• Maintain RAID logs, decisions, and dependency tracking for the project scope.

Requirements

• 5+ years of total professional experience.
• 5-8 years of experience as a System Analyst or Business Systems Analyst within banking or financial services.
• Hands-on experience with Deposits Management Systems, specifically Finacle.
• Proven end-to-end project implementation experience (at least 2 full implementations from requirements through deployment).
• Strong expertise in downstream domains such as GL interfaces, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Visio.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate between bank and vendor teams.
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to translate technical progress into concise updates.
• Willingness to relocate to the Philippines for the long term.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in managing complex integration governance and dependency tracking.
