Staff Engineer, ASIC Development Engineering

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of SoC verification and validation flows, including planning, execution, and closure.
• Develop and execute comprehensive verification/validation plans for both pre- and post-silicon phases.
• Debug and perform root cause analysis of complex SoC issues across digital logic, firmware, and timing domains.
• Build and maintain automated test environments, regression suites, and validation infrastructure.
• Develop firmware, bare-metal tests, and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) code to enable SoC-level validation.
• Run complex verification scenarios on Palladium or other emulation platforms to accelerate debug and improve coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the closure of all verification and validation activities.

Requirements

• BE or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 5-8+ years of experience in SoC pre-/post-silicon verification, validation, and bring-up.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog (SV) and UVM concepts.
• Deep understanding of C, embedded programming, and hardware/software co-validation methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard protocols such as DDR, PCIe, LPDDR, or USB.
• Experience using emulation platforms like Palladium.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, or similar languages for test automation and data analysis.
