Staff Engineer, ASIC Development Engineering

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive pre- and post-silicon verification and validation plans based on complex ASIC specifications
• Develop and execute tests for subsystem and SoC-level verification, including firmware and bare-metal tests
• Perform root cause analysis and debugging of issues across digital logic, firmware, and timing domains
• Build and maintain automated test environments, regression suites, and validation infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the closure of validation activities and sign off on deliverables
• Validate complex datapath flows and performance bottlenecks using industry-standard protocols

Requirements

• BE or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 5-8+ years of experience in SoC pre-/post-silicon verification, validation, and bring-up
• Deep understanding of C and embedded programming for hardware/software co-validation
• Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog (SV) and UVM concepts
• Proficiency in Python or Perl scripting for test automation and data analysis
• Experience with industry-standard protocols such as PCIe, DDR, or LPDDR

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running complex scenarios on Palladium or other emulation platforms
• Hands-on experience with post-silicon ASIC bring-up and system-level debug
• Knowledge of power-aware validation (UPF/CPF) and gate-level simulations
• Familiarity with additional protocols like USB, Ethernet, I2C, or AXI
