Responsibilities
- Design and build custom electrical test equipment to automate bring-up and testing of product control system hardware
- Own the physical execution and maintenance of the control system integration test bed
- Contribute to software and firmware development of test beds, including control, automation, and data acquisition functionality
- Architect and implement test equipment for BMS verification, including HIL systems and reliability test beds
- Collaborate with product design teams to diagnose issues and implement hardware and software fixes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design or test equipment development
- Proficiency with eCAD tools for PCB, control panel, and harness designs
- Hands-on experience with sensors, power electronics, data acquisition, and control systems
- Prototyping experience including soldering, crimping, and PCBA rework
- Experience developing software for testing or automation environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with battery or energy systems
- Proficiency in Python or PLC languages (IEC 61131-3)
- Familiarity with BMS architecture and communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C)
- Knowledge of electrical safety requirements and panel wiring standards (e.g., UL 508A)
