Staff Electrical Engineer, Systems Integration

Responsibilities

• Integrate power system equipment to transfer power from batteries and the grid
• Select, commission, and operate high-voltage electrical equipment for testing and validation
• Specify and optimize power converter solutions like inverters, transformers, and DC-DC converters
• Design and develop high-voltage electrical control and power distribution panels
• Develop and execute comprehensive systems and component test plans for prototyping and validation
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement design solutions to improve BESS power collection topology
• Develop simulation models for power conversion and circuit interruption devices
• Contribute to cross-functional engineering design of integrated BESS enclosures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 5 years of experience developing and integrating electrical systems, including power distribution and conversion
• 5 years of experience with electrical schematic and CAD software (Altium, Zuken, or Siemens Capital)
• 5 years of experience developing and executing test plans using CAN communication tools and DAQ
• 5 years of experience working with third-party vendors and multidisciplinary teams
• 3 years of experience with high voltage (>400 V) systems and power converters per NFPA 70e
• 3 years of experience designing systems compliant with UL 508A, NEC, and functional safety standards
• 2 years of experience with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink
