Staff Electrical Engineer (R&D)

Responsibilities

• Spearhead early-stage design and development of biometric wearable devices using data analytics to guide decision-making.
• Design and execute system-level validation protocols using engineering fundamentals and statistical methods.
• Use Python and other statistical tools to process large datasets, conduct feasibility testing, and inform design decisions.
• Apply circuit design principles and SPICE to design and validate hardware circuits in wearable systems.
• Test and validate hardware prototypes through in-depth functional testing and debugging using lab equipment.
• Define system requirements, develop test strategies, and lead failure investigations to identify root causes.
• Partner cross-functionally with hardware, software, data science, and product teams to shape development strategies.
• Collaborate with external partners and manufacturers to ensure successful product scale-up.

Requirements

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Proficiency in applying advanced statistical techniques, particularly in time-series data analysis, using Python or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping and debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and impedance analyzers.
• Solid understanding of circuit design principles and simulation tools like SPICE.
• Experience maintaining and improving live code for hardware systems, including logging and monitoring.
