Staff Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define electrical power architecture and strategy across the product portfolio
• Architect and own electrical power systems from concept through production
• Drive cross-functional integration by defining electrical requirements and interfaces
• Lead flagship product development efforts and system-level tradeoffs
• Build and iterate on PCBs including schematic capture, layout, and validation
• Design for real-world deployment including EMI/EMC, thermal management, and vibration
• Develop key supplier relationships for motors, sensors, batteries, and compute platforms
• Mentor Senior Engineers and recruit engineering talent

Requirements

• BS + 8 years of hardware experience (or MS + 6, PhD + 3)
• Expertise in power system architecture, motor controller inverter design, and DC/DC regulators
• Experience shipping products in the 10kW range or less
• Proficiency in PCB design and schematic capture using Altium
• Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, and validation
• Knowledge of interfaces such as USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and LVDS
• Experience taking hardware from prototype to production and passing FCC/UL/TUV certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in robotics, automotive, or autonomous systems
• Knowledge of battery technologies and battery management systems
• Experience shipping hardware designed for rugged environments
