About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and own electrical systems including medium voltage feeds, low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, and communications
  • Serve as Electrical Engineer of Record for permit and construction drawings
  • Perform power system studies including short-circuit analysis, arc flash calculations, and protective device coordination using SKM or ETAP
  • Conduct cable ampacity calculations using AmpCalc or similar software
  • Lead multi-discipline coordination with architectural, civil, structural, and mechanical teams
  • Review conceptual designs to identify technical and financial risks
  • Lead code analysis for NEC, IECC, and NFPA standards
  • Provide construction administration support including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and on-site inspections
  • Prepare engineering cost estimates and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Nevada or eligible for reciprocity (must obtain NV and SC licenses within 2 months)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy commercial and industrial sectors
  • Subject matter expertise in NEC, IECC, and NFPA standards
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and SKM or ETAP
  • Proficiency in AmpCalc and lighting design software such as Visual or AGI
  • Ability to travel to project sites for construction administration and commissioning
