Staff DSP Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design calibration software architecture, HW/SW interfaces, APIs, and RFIC impairment correction algorithms.
• Implement DSP software modules in C/C++ running under RTOS on multi-core DSP architectures.
• Develop software for both base station and user equipment across various multi-core DSP/ARM processors.
• Perform system integration and debugging on complex hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with L2/L3 software groups and FPGA/ASIC teams to deliver cross-layer features.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers through code reviews.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in wireless communication or digital signal processing.
• 10+ years of industry experience in the design and implementation of signal processing algorithms on DSP/ARM cores.
• Proven experience in RFIC software development for wireless systems (5G, LTE, WiFi, or similar).
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming.
• Strong understanding of communication theory, OFDM systems, and linear algebra.
• Experience with multi-core embedded systems, RTOS, memory/cycle optimization, and multi-threaded programming.
• Expertise in RFIC impairment compensation and system integration/bring-up.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced array signal processing, such as beamforming and MIMO.
• Knowledge of adaptive equalization, receiver synchronization, and signal recovery.
• Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools like Git, Gerrit, Jira, and Confluence.
