About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the complete DFT strategy for complex SoCs from architecture through production silicon
  • Define DFT architecture including scan, compression, LBIST, MBIST, boundary scan, and test access strategies
  • Lead end-to-end implementation including scan insertion, ATPG, and test compression optimization
  • Generate, analyze, and optimize ATPG patterns to achieve high fault coverage with minimal pattern count
  • Support first silicon bring-up, failure analysis, and yield ramp in collaboration with ATE and manufacturing teams
  • Act as a technical lead to mentor junior and senior engineers and define reusable DFT methodologies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with RTL design, physical design, and functional verification teams

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in DFT methodologies and industry-standard test techniques
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a closely related field
  • Deep expertise in LBIST, ATPG, MBIST (including repair mechanisms), and Boundary Scan (IEEE 1149.1)
  • Proficiency with industry-standard DFT EDA tools from Cadence or Siemens
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Tcl, or Perl
  • Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, RTL design, and the full ASIC design flow
  • Proven experience in SoC architecture and silicon bring-up

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-volume production test, ATE bring-up, and test cost optimization
  • Exposure to safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262 for automotive or industrial applications
  • Experience with on-chip debug, trace, and design-for-debug features
  • Prior experience leading small DFT teams or task forces
