Staff Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance frontend architectures using React and TypeScript
• Investigate systemic platform issues, conduct architectural assessments, and propose long-term solutions
• Build and maintain Node.js-based backend services, including BFFs and tooling APIs
• Champion developer experience (DX) by improving build tooling, CI/CD infrastructure, and documentation
• Mentor engineers on frontend best practices, testing strategies, and architectural patterns
• Optimize application performance, bundle sizes, and runtime efficiency
• Act as a technical partner to feature teams to balance platform stability with rapid evolution

Requirements

• 9+ years of professional software development experience
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and React (hooks, state management, and performance)
• Extensive experience with Monorepos at scale (e.g., Nx)
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and backend service development
• Proficiency with testing infrastructure including unit, component, and E2E testing (Vitest, Playwright)
• Proven ability to independently investigate complex codebases and produce written architectural recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on a dedicated Frontend Platform or Infrastructure team
• Familiarity with design systems, Storybook, and component libraries
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and modern build tools (Vite, Webpack, Rollup)
• Knowledge of TanStack Query, Router, and SSR/SSG frameworks like Next.js
• Experience building developer tools such as CLIs, plugins, or codemods
• Understanding of web performance, accessibility (a11y), and micro-frontend architectures
