Staff Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Translate stakeholder requirements into clear project objectives and manage scope effectively
• Lead Infrastructure and Tool Install projects through conceptualization, design, and construction
• Manage permitting, construction documents, transmittals, and RFIs
• Own project funding request processes for major infrastructure improvements
• Coordinate project schedules with Procurement and Construction partners
• Define project delivery strategies including design-bid-build and fast track projects
• Implement lean construction principles and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Lead feasibility studies, value engineering, and options analysis

Requirements

• B.S. in Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in heavy commercial and industrial sectors
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary scopes within A/E or Design Engineering firms
• Experience designing manufacturing facilities and site infrastructure
• Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and resource management
• Proficiency in working with codes and jurisdictions
• Advanced project and program management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. degree in a relevant engineering field
• PE or RA License
• At least 10 years of experience in design management
