Staff Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure for an AI-native design practice, including token systems and component libraries
• Shape the product vision for conversational and adaptive AI interfaces
• Bridge the gap between design and code by shipping production-ready PRs
• Develop prototyping and AI tooling infrastructure to enable high-fidelity workflows
• Set and model high craft standards for the organization

Requirements

• 8+ years in design engineering, UX engineering, or design technology
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Next.js
• Extensive experience building or overhauling design systems at scale
• Fluency in AI-assisted workflows and prototyping tools
• Experience with Figma, Storybook, VSCode, Chromatic, and GitHub
• Strong design sensibility and attention to interaction quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or building data visualizations
• Background in brand or product design
• Expertise in web accessibility (WCAG 2.2, ARIA, semantic HTML)
• Experience in product analytics or developer-focused environments
