Staff Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Guide the overarching vision for data analysis, curation, and annotation to improve AI models
• Drive the definition of algorithm and data requirements to deliver on end-point objectives
• Introduce best practices and efficient processes for large-scale annotation campaigns
• Develop comprehensive data curation strategies and partner with MLOps to architect data management systems
• Establish frameworks and tools to rigorously evaluate model iterations across patient populations
• Design and oversee data analyses using statistical techniques to illuminate AI algorithm performance

Requirements

• Masters or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or Image Analysis (5+ years with PhD)
• Proven track record working on complex AI problems in medical imaging or computer vision
• Proficiency in Python and statistical/ML packages such as scipy, sklearn, statsmodels, and seaborn
• Experience with data lakes, SQL/NoSQL databases, AWS Cloud Storage, and Tableau
• Expertise in deep learning and machine learning models in production
• Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex analyses into actionable findings

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with image and 3D processing tools like VTK, ITK, 3DSlicer, or MITK
• Experience with medical imaging data (CT and vascular imaging)
• Proficiency in integrating generative AI and agentic tools into workflows
