Staff Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and scaling of data infrastructure and complex ETL pipelines (batch/streaming)
• Drive standards for data model design, quality frameworks, and metadata
• Implement automated data governance tooling and ensure privacy policy adherence
• Partner with Product and Engineering owners to design and refine data products
• Mentor engineers in good engineering practices and foster a culture of feedback
• Improve code quality, product execution, and automation

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering
• Extensive track record of deploying and maintaining data models in high-traffic environments
• Expert knowledge of Apache Kafka and Airflow
• Deep expertise in cloud data warehouses like BigQuery or Redshift
• Mastery of Python and abstract programming concepts
• Experience with Lean/XP practices including TDD, Pair Programming, and CI/CD
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
