About the role
Responsibilities
- Formulate decision problems as mathematical optimization models, defining variables, objectives, and constraints
- Design and implement prescriptive analytics solutions, including linear and integer programming
- Build optimization models to support business decisions such as credit limits, exposure allocation, and pricing
- Translate optimization outputs into automated decisioning frameworks deployed in production systems
- Develop predictive models using large datasets and machine learning techniques
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure models reflect real-world operational constraints and business objectives
- Evaluate and communicate trade-offs using decision-centric metrics
- Maintain model governance, documentation, and validation artifacts for regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Operations Research
- Hands-on Operations Research or optimization experience
- 5 years of relevant risk analytics experience
- 3 years of experience in driving technical project delivery
- Expertise in Linear and Integer Programming and Constrained Optimization
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with optimization solvers or OR libraries such as Pyomo, Gurobi, or PuLP
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying optimization in financial services, risk management, or pricing
- Experience combining predictive ML models with prescriptive optimization
- Exposure to decision automation or real-time decisioning systems
- Experience deploying optimization models into production workflows
- Knowledge of credit bureaus and external data sources
