Responsibilities

  • Author and maintain Concept of Operations documents capturing state machine behavior, inter-controller interactions, and fault handling logic
  • Design and implement hierarchical state machines for mode transitions, fault handling, and safety logic across BMS controller levels
  • Drive model-based code generation workflows to ensure testable and maintainable C code
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies including unit testing, integration testing, coverage analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation
  • Support controls bring-up and testing on prototype testbeds through limited travel

Requirements

  • PhD in Engineering with 3+ years of experience or M.S. with 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in classical control theory including feedback controllers, state observers, and filters
  • Track record of delivering production-embedded code using model-based design tools
  • Experience with complex electromechanical systems
  • Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, and Git
